I love trees. In fact, I love them so much that I can't stop drawing and painting them.


I'm evolving with every painting or drawing that I do. I can only go uphill from here but I will never be perfect because there is no such thing as a perfect artist, only a really good one.

Looking back at all my drawings or paintings that I have done ever since I have picked up an instrument of creation, I've seen a sort of evolution. A personal evolution that I could say I am proud of. I could never compare myself to others but I have some sort of pride about my change. I am happy with myself.

I am pleased but also humbled.

Nice work there Louisa. Your technique, the control you have over the watercolors is admirable. You need to scan this painting though, or at least photograph it under natural lighting, to show it's true colors. Bring it back in sometime and we can try and scan it.

This is beautiful. An excellent execution of a good idea. Dichotomies are interesting, and though often overwrought. But something about this one (it could be the love of trees we have in common), makes a heavy message more subtle. That's the sort of imagery that I aim for; powerful, but conversational rather than shouting.

Luisa! Wow! This is really just... excellent. At first, it looked like roots in the ground, (small view) then I saw it and well, it just blew my mind twice in a row. I adore your trees, which I lack the patience and knowledge to do. I also love the scale you put the people at; how small we really are... gah >< I loves it. Did you scan this? I alwasy hate when the computer washes out detail/color.... *growls*
